About Homestead Florida.
Homestead is a city located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA nestled between Biscayne National Park and Everglades National Park. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 31,909. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 37,957.
The city of Homestead lies at the southern terminus of Florida's Turnpike, where this highway ends at its junction with US-1. Homestead is immediately adjacent to Florida City, and these two cities comprise the greater Homestead area.
